Your 2021 skincare regime.

Oh boy, I tell you what …2020 was one of the unprecedented years! The whole world spend their time wearing masks, being home, going through some sort of stress or even worse, being unwell. Gyms close, fresh air – limited, feeling good factor- in high demand. And guess what, all those unpleasant moment contributed to our skin wellbeing. Buying new products, spending fortune of the wrong product only because it is expensive will not do the trick!

If you are expecting your brand new skincare products to work in one day is as pointless as expecting that extra holiday weight to fall off after one day of healthy eating. Just like anything worth waiting for, achieving clear skin takes consistency and routine. Not only does our skin thrive when accustomed to a regular routine, but it can take up to 8 weeks for the full effects of new skincare to start showing results, as cell turnover needs to occur to change the overall behaviour of the skin. However, just like any other routine, our regular skincare can sometimes gets compromised with odd night forgetting to remove makeup turning into a full month of mixed products and overall skin confusion.

Ready to commit to your complexion? Follow these easy steps to stay on track this year!

Plan your routine

One of the very important moments- knowing what involves in daily skin care routine. Pick out the products that you will be using based on your skin type that you can stick to. For example, if you suffer from acne prone skin, a cleanser containing Salicylic Acid is advised to deeply cleanse pores and regulate oil levels. Make it relaxing

Instead of thinking of your skincare routine as a chore, make it into your ‘me time’ and take the time to relax and create a full sensorial experience that you will look forward to each day. Set the scene for some relaxation using a scented candle such as the ESPA Soothing Candle and take a break from life whist you let your skincare absorb in. Invest in a cleansing cloth such as the Revolution Skincare Microfibre Face Cloths that will not only make your cleanser more effective, but will feel soft and gentle on the skin.

Let me share my some must have facial tools.

Recommendation: use Ecooking Derma Roller at night. Cleanse your skin before use. Treat one area at a time starting with e.g. cheeks. Roll with an even but gentle pressure both horizontally/vertically/diagonally. Continue at a new area. Remember to lift the roller when changing direction in order not to roll too many times in one area. Apply your favourite serum. When the serum has been absorbed, apply your Night Cream. Cleanse your skin with your favourite cleansing products before use.

Herbivore Jade Facial Roller 340g – £26. The gentle massaging motion helps your face to maintain a firmer surface while supporting the lymphatic system for effective detoxification. Your complexion will appear revitalised with a potential increase in elasticity. Fine lines may become less noticeable while puffiness and discomfort is calmed, leaving your skin less stressed. The jade roller can also promote more efficient absorption when it comes to applying your favourite creams and serums.
