There really is nothing like investing in those classic pieces that stand the test of time. The top choice, when it comes to blazer, has to be Balmain blazer. Alongside contemporaries Christian Dior and Hubert de Givenchy, Pierre Balmain defined France’s fashion renaissance after World War II, establishing Balmain in 1945. Continuing in the trailblazing spirit of the brand’s founder, Creative Director Olivier Rousteing is inspired by the confident style of modern women and incorporates the maison’s mastery of embroidery and embellishment into his collections. I love its defined shoulders and cool, military looking hardware. Balmain blazer goes well with everything, from a work wear to a weekend look. I am lucky enough to own one, therefore I must admit- it one of the most treasured fashion item in my wardrobe.
However, Balmain blazers are very expensive. So, I was wondering and looking around for an alternative looks and shapes.
This is what I found recently on the high street.
